Too Close for Comfort

Sadie January 6th, 2008

Where was I at 2:30 this afternoon?  I was pulling out of a restaurant parking lot on the east side of Madison, wondering what the sirens were for, mentioning that I was tired, let’s not go to West Towne Mall like we had been planning.  I got no further than just past the exit for I90, which I would have taken to the mall, when I heard on the radio that there was a 20 car pile-up.  Thank God, for some reason I decided not to go at the very last minute.  Now the news has reported that the pile-up involved 100 cars before it stopped.  Shortly after skipping my exit onto I90 I received one of those forwarded chain text messages on my phone.  What did it say?  It said, “I’ve sent angels to watch over you.”

Matthew 21:21-22

21Jesus answered, “I tell you the truth.  If you have faith and do not doubt, you will be able to do more.  You will be able to say to this mountain, ‘Go, mountain, fall into the sea.’  And if you have faith, it will happen.  22If you believe, you will get anything you ask for in prayer.”
