Since my boyfriend does not have a digital camera, I ordered one for him out of the blue from a retailer on Amazon.com. I was hoping it would come by last Friday so he could take some pictures this weekend, but it didn’t. It came on Monday. I opened it to take a peek before I gave it to him only to find that they sent me red instead of black! Ugh! Well, it is a super nice red. I like red. Sure would be a pain to send it back. Okay, so I decided to keep it and re-order it for him in silver. It’s not as nice as the camera he got me; it has fewer functions and features, but its very tiny and that makes it very convenient to keep in my purse. I think Luke will like his, but now he has to wait a bit longer.

Got my hair did today. I cut it short again and dyed it darker. I’ll get used to it. :) It’s amazing how much they can charge for salon shampoo! I bought a bottle of shampoo and conditioner, Rusk to be exact, and they were $16.50 each. Ouch. I like good shampoo as much as the next girl, but I wonder where exactly the $12.50 more than a decent bottle of cheap shampoo goes. I have to say though, I love the smell and it makes my hair feel nice and soft. I like it a lot. (that was to be read like dumb and dumber)

Sorry I haven’t posted anything in a while. How rude of me. And people keep looking like I will. So, I guess I will.
I got my Heelys yesterday. HA! I have no idea how little kids do it. I can’t walk without my feet going out from under me and I sure as heck can’t skate with them. They feel like you are walking on ice. I’m about 99% positive now that I will break a hip.

I just bought these sweet Heelys! Oh yeah. Now I can skate around Walmart like the little pre-teen boys and cut people off. Hopefully I don’t fall and break a hip.

Not only did I have a terrible service experience with the delivery company yesterday, I had a good one with Beaver Dam Ford! I had scheduled my car for an oil change, tire rotation, fluids check and new brake pads because I thought I needed them. I asked my mom to take my car in since I had to work. She called me not long after the appointment to tell me that they looked at my brake pads and my brakes looked great! How nice that instead of ripping me off, they were honest. In fact, the only maintenance they suggested for my car was to replace my windshield wipers which I already purchased.

Why is it that if I am not working and making money, I’m spending money? Today in my boredom of not working due to weather, I decided to buy a new computer. Oh, it’s not just any computer. It’s “flamingo pink.” Yes, that’s right, pink. I wish I was kidding, but I decided to be a cheapskate and buy refurbished. The best notebook I could get for the money was pink. WOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

Last night I was washing my mattress pad from my bed. While it was in the dryer I was straightening up my bedside table. There was a bottle of NyQuil that I picked up to put away. Well, I dropped it. Although there is a child safety cap on the bottle, when it hit my table the cap popped off splashing red, cherry NyQuil all over my table, mattress, and ivory cloth lampshade. I grabbed the first thing I could find which was Woolite Oxy Deep carpet spot cleaner and sprayed it all over the lampshade and mattress. I could hardly believe my eyes when I saw the color dissolving right away. I used hot water and a towel to finish cleaning the mess, but there is no red to be found on either my mattress or lampshade thanks to the Woolite Oxy Deep. I recommend it to everyone for cleaning ANY fabric, not just carpet.

My boyfriend’s birthday is this month, and I knew just what to get him this year. He is getting the Jack LaLanne Power Juicer Stainless Steel Pro. Its the juicer that you see on infomercials. “Don’t just juice. Power juice!” It advertises the “whisper quiet professional speed motor…” I’ve heard all about it. My boyfriend keeps telling me how great it would be to drink fresh fruit and vegetable juice every morning. He reminds me of Ralphie from A Christmas Story. All Ralphie can think about is a Red Ryder Carbine Action 200-Shot, Range Model Air Rifle. All my boyfriend can think about is the Whisper Quiet Jack LaLanne Power Juicer Stainless Steel Pro. Well if that’s what he wants, that’s what he’ll get.

In August I told you how great Colgate MaxFreshwas. I should have clarified that the flavor was Cool Mint. I ran out and thought I would purchase a new flavor called Kiss Me Mint. Not so great. I’ve been using it for a little over a week hoping that the flavor would grow on me. It hasn’t. Its fuchsia, yeah, the toothpaste itself. It foams up pink in your mouth. That doesn’t matter, but it is not nearly as envigorating as Cool Mint. If you haven’t, you should definately try MaxFresh, but if you are going for maximum freshness, do not buy Kiss Me Mint.

Two words- Good stuff! Uncle Ben’s Ready Rice is great! I love rice, but when it first came out I was not willing to try it because I’ve experienced the chewy grossness that is microwaved Chinese leftovers. However, a few days ago when someone had it for lunch at work the smell got to me. I had to try it, and now I’m hooked. It comes in several great flavors. The only one I’ve found with partially hydrogenated oils is the cheese one so I’ll pass on that flavor, but the several others I’ve tried were yummy! Best part- it only takes 90 seconds in the microwave.  Try it, it’s good!
